The verdict

You've been fixing the wrong thing.

It's one part of your swing. Here it is. Film one swing with your phone and Strike Lab names the fault to fix first, shows you the frame it happens in, and gives you one drill for it.

A Strike Lab result: fix this first — over the top, graded severe at transition, with the chain rail below.

A golfer who can't see the cause is practicing the fault. Every rep grooves it deeper. Effort without a diagnosis isn't neutral — it's backwards.

No sensors, no studio

Three steps, one swing.

Down the line or face on, tripod or a mate holding the phone. Strike Lab finds the swing in the video for you.

1

Film it

Record in the app or pick a video from your camera roll. Phone at hip height, one swing per clip.

2

Confirm the swing

The app finds the swing on your phone and clips it. If it sees more than one, you tap the one you meant.

Read the verdict

The fault to fix first, the chain it sits in, and a drill — with the frame each fault came from.

The cause

The miss you see started earlier.

A slice is rarely a slice problem. Strike Lab links what it sees into a chain — an inside takeaway forces the club over the top, and over the top forces you out of posture at impact — then names the fault at the front of it. That's the one you work on.

Tap any position and the clip jumps to that frame, freezes, and shows what the read was based on.

The fix

One drill. Setup, reps, why it works.

Not a list of tips to sort through. One drill for the one fault, written the way a coach would say it: how to set up, what the move should feel like, how many balls, and what it is actually teaching your body to do.

Tell the app the miss you're fighting and it says whether the read lines up with it — the cheapest check there is on whether the diagnosis matches your ball flight.

The pump drill card: setup, the move, reps, and why it works, above a film another swing button.

The follow-up

Nobody else asks how it went.

Three sessions in, Strike Lab asks you to film one more and checks whether the fault moved. Every swing you film is stored and coded the same way, so the app can tell you what your fix-first fault has been over time — not just today.

One-shot analysis walks away after the report. This is the part that doesn't.

The Strike Lab home screen: three sessions on over the top, film one swing and let's see if it moved, above swing history.

Questions

Before you film.

What does it cost?

Nothing right now. Strike Lab is free while we're getting started. If that changes we'll tell you in the app first — nobody gets charged without being asked.

What do I need?

An iPhone and somewhere to prop it. Hip height, down the line, far enough back that your whole swing stays in frame. A tripod helps, but handheld works.

Down the line or face on?

Either. Tell the app which one you filmed and it reads the swing accordingly. Each angle hides different things, and Strike Lab greys out the positions it could not see rather than guessing at them.

How long does it take?

Most swings come back in under a minute. A long or busy video can take longer.

What happens to my video?

It is kept for you until you delete it, so your swing history stays intact. A person at Strike Lab may watch a swing to improve how the app reads them, and we do not train models on your footage. Nothing is published anywhere unless you say yes to that swing specifically. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Is this a replacement for a coach?

No. It's the read between lessons — the thing that tells you what changed since the last time you filmed, so you turn up with a question instead of a shrug.
